Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for a number of years. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she faced a lot of racial taunts which gave her feeling of being a bit unpopular. As she entered the 9th grade she felt more comfortable after she was applauded by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. This experience did not just help the confidence of her, but also altered the direction she was heading in her life. The 22-year-old graduated with a degree from Julliard School in New York. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great reviews for her role. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater appreciation. As a professional singer and producer, she's produced songs as well as an extensive work. She's also an activist who is a tireless advocate to protect LGBT rights.
