Ina Garten is a well-known American cookery book author and Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which debuted in 2002. It has since aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten started her career in the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy and budget reports. Though she found the career to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she dropped interest and purchased a small boutique of specialty foods - Barefoot Contessa. She spent eighteen years making the store extremely successful prior to selling it off before putting pen to paper to write her first cookbook. Many other cookbooks and magazine columns follow. In the meantime, she was also a part of the Food Network television show too started and soon became a hit. The range of products includes items for cooking in the kitchen as well as storage containers. Ina has never attended a cookery school nor did she be employed at a restaurant. She's completely self-taught. Her name is ascribed to the simplicity of her cooking, and her effortless approach to entertainment. Her most well-known recipes include easy recipes like Skillet Grilled Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese using Beef Bourguignon as well as Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
